Question: Do all vinyls work with your process?

Answer: Unfortunately, no, but most do with at least one shape.  Please send us a picture of your vinyl box and we can let you know if your vinyl will work.  If you have not yet purchased vinyl, please contact us for a list of recommendations based on your shape preference.

 

Question: I currently have a square step, can I install round nosing?

Answer: YES.  Our nosings are intended for closed stairs and so you will not see what is inside the nosing as there are walls or wood on both sides.  The “space” is the very edge which is curved and not stepped on.

 

Question: My current stairs are less then 1.5” thick, can you make the nosing thinner?

Answer: 

Round shape - No, but as the nosing is rounded you can simply slide it further on.

Square shape - Yes.  Our default nosing covers 1.5" but we do offer one that covers 1"

so simply let us know this preference when you get in touch.

 

Question: My current stairs are more than 1.5” thick, can you make the nose thicker?

Answer: Yes.  We offer customization when needed.  Please contact us for pricing and details.

 

Question: Will putting vinyl on my stairs make them slippery.

Answer: Every vinyl is different so we suggest you cut a few pieces to length and lay them on the stairs to see if you find it slippery.  Most vinyl planks have graining and texture which makes it less slippery than hardwood. 

 

Question: What is the turn-around time once I drop off my vinyl. 

Answer: We generally run anywhere from 2-4 business days.  It simply depends on the size of your job and how busy we are.  We can often accommodate rush jobs if needed. Feel free to contact us to find the current timing.

 

Question: Can we buy vinyl from you?

Answer: Yes - we can arrange the vinyl purchase for you.  This is especially ideal if you are from out of town and want to avoid delivering vinyl, and then picking up your nosings.

 

Question: Do you come to our home to measure the stairs?

Answer: We make the nosings at either 36” or 48”.  So you can do a rough measurement and choose which accommodates your stairs.  The final exact cut is done on site after we make the nosings.

 

Question: Is it easy to install?

Answer: This truly depends on your staircase and your abilities.  There is an installation video HERE you can watch to see if you feel you can do it.  But we do recommend you use a contractor with the right tools and experience for best results.

Question: Do you have nosing in stock?

Answer: No.  We make all our nosing custom for you.  You provide the vinyl you want the nosings created from.

 

Question: How much does it cost?

Answer: The cost depends on the type of vinyl, length of nosings, and shape you choose.  Please contact us with this information and we will happily provide you with an immediate quote.

 

Question: When can I drop off my vinyl to have them made into nosings? 

Answer: We are very flexible with accommodating your schedule. Just get in touch.
